Friday was Field Day for Chase, and Mama asked Nanaw to take a picture of Chase in his field Day shirt. Nanaw also took three very cute pictures of Chase posing with Hank the stuffed lemur who lives at Nanaw's house. Yesterday, Chase told Nanaw that he was the fourth smartest in his fifth-grade class. He said two girls and a boy were ahead of him. Nanaw told Mama about that, and Mama asked where he got that. Nanaw said she thought he probably made it up. Mama texted Nanaw that she picked up lunch for her and Will at the food truck on Main Street. Mama had a hamburger, and Daddy had a Philly cheese steak. Mama said they were both very good (she had a bite of Daddy's). Friday morning was the only time Nanaw would see Chase on Friday so Nanaw will miss her boy. Mama was going to pick Chase up at 2:20 (before the end of Field Day) to go to Granite City for a cross-country meet. Mama sent the last three photos of Chase at the meet. Chase sent Nanaw a text saying that he ran without stopping for 2.1 miles, longer than any of their races.
