Mama and Daddy both had the day off on Friday so Mama took Chase to school. She talked to the principal and he asked where's your Mom? Nanaw thought that was funny. Mama also picked Chase up from school so she and Daddy could have a little time with him before Chase went to Nanaw's for their sleepover adventure and Mama and Daddy went to Songs for Soldiers. Before Chase came over, Nanaw made pot roast for part of their dinner. When Chase got to Nanaw's house, they set up the restaurant in the living room, with the toy kitchen, the dishes and the food, the money, the pretend credit cards, all of Chase's stuffed animals that he brought along, and some of Nanaw's stuffed animals. They played restaurant for a long time and had great fun. Next, they went to Sonic for cheddar bites. But they were out of cheddar bites again, so Chase got a pretzel and Nanaw got mozzarella sticks. Chase rode in Nanaw's front seat on the way to Sonic for the first time ever. Lots of his friends were doing it, and Mama and Daddy said it would be okay for Chase to ride in the front seat. Then they came home and had delicious pot roast. After dinner, they played restaurant again. It was a wonderful sleepover, and Nanaw feels very lucky to have such a good grandson.
