Mama brought Chase over to Nanaw's house on Saturday morning after his cross-country practice in the rain. The boys ran on the trail at the little park by the library. Mama went to the grocery store, and Nanaw said she would bring Chase home around noon. Mama told Chase he couldn't play on his tablet all the time he was there, that he and Nanaw should play with his toys together. So that's what they did. But first, they went to the computer lab and played on the piano and the recorder. Then they went into Chase room and played with the little plastic building pieces that Nanaw bought for Chase at the Magic House for Christmas. Chase made a girl figure, and then some monkeys. He started to build a giraffe but stopped, deciding it was too hard. He helped Nanaw make a monkey. Then Nanaw made a table. They had lots of fun building things. Mama texted Nanaw that they went to Washy's for dinner. After Mama ordered, Chase asked, "What are we getting for a starter?" He's such a hoot. When he and Nanaw play restaurant in the living room with his stuffed animals, he's always talking about starters and sides.
