Mama and Daddy had the day off from work for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. In the afternoon, Chase had an appointment with Dr. Charles. Nanaw went along for the appointment. Chase is 40.5 inches tall and weighs 37 pounds. He’s in the 50^th percentile for height and the 57^th percentile for weight. He was given a hearing test and the nurses did it twice. So it wasn’t that much of a surprise when Dr. Charles said Chase didn’t pass the hearing test. He’s supposed to go back in four to six weeks to be re-tested. Dr. Charles said he couldn’t see anything in Chase’s ears but there might be some congestion that’s causing the hearing problem. They also gave Chase a test for four-year olds and Chase did fine on everything except fine motor skills. So Chase is going to practice drawing and cutting with scissors. Nanaw stayed for a delicious dinner of home-made onion soup – Mama did such a good job.
