Surprisingly enough, Chase said he didn't want to go to school Wednesday morning but he was fine when he got to school. When he walked into the schoolroom, he did his funny new trick of hopping on one leg. Then he saw a box of new toys and got all excited about them. When he got out of school, he cried a little bit but couldn't tell Nanaw why he was crying. He told Nanaw that Brady took the Storm Trooper toy away from him but that someone gave it back to him. When Nanaw asked Chase what the snack was, he said M&M's. Then when Nanaw checked his backpack, she found another pack of M&M's -- and Chase ate them all down. On the way home from school, they stopped at Hallmark to buy a Shoebox birthday card for Mama. At Chase's request, they went to Dollar Tree and Nanaw bought Chase a green Hot Wheel car. Then they went to Schnuck's to buy a cherry chip birthday cake mix and black cherry ice cream; Chase had fun riding in the car cart. Next, they went to the bank to get money for Mama's birthday present, and Chase got a sucker. In the afternoon, the Charter cable man came, and Chase seemed to enjoy watching him work.
