Mama and Daddy hung Chase’s Star Wars poster in his room and that was the first thing Chase had Nanaw come see when she visited Chase on Sunday evening and stayed for a delicious ham dinner. Mama also made experimental potatoes from the cookbook Nanaw gave Mama for Christmas. Nanaw brought gluten-free cornbread to go with dinner – everything was very good. Chase watched the YouTube Kids video of the little boy Ryan on Nanaw’s computer as Ryan opened his Christmas presents. Chase must have already watched the video because he knew what each present was before Ryan opened it. Chase and Nanaw had a light saber fight, and of course, Chase won. After dinner, Chase, Mama and Nanaw played Kick in the kitchen with all of Chase’s balls. Nanaw and Mama worked on a project / present for Mama’s birthday – they’re going to put together a blanket filled with photos of Sam that will be made by Walgreen’s. Nanaw spent the afternoon going through photos to find pictures of Sam for Mama. It was a delightful activity – Nana felt like she’d lived through Chase’s first four years all over again – very wonderful.
