Chase was a little hesitant about going back to school Monday morning and did his shy act when he got to the schoolroom. But he started playing with some of the toys and was fine. And he came running out of school with a big smile for Nanaw when she picked him up. Chase and Nanaw went to the Telegraph Road library on the way home from school. They played with the little tiny Legos and had lots of fun building weird things. When they got home, Chase and Nanaw played with his Army toys and his little Hot Wheels cars and race track. They also played with Lightning McQueen, Mater and Fillmore. When Nanaw asked what he did in school, as usual Chase said he played. But then he told Nanaw he made a snowflake, and that Miss Kish opened it up and it was pretty. Nanaw asked if he cut paper with a scissors to make it, and Chase said yes. He also said he had crackers for the snack when Nanaw asked about the day’s snack was. Chase did two exciting things. He was almost able to put on both of his mittens, something he hadn’t done before. Then, after he’d taken his underwear and pants off to go to the bathroom, for the first time, he put them back on himself, saying "I’ll do it myself."
