Mama had the day off from work so she took Chase to school. Nanaw had a tooth problem, and her dentist was out of town. So Mama's friend Teresa helped find a dentist, and everything worked out fine. After the dentist, Mama and Nanaw had lunch at McDonald's; then they went shopping at Walmart, Pier 1 and Yankee Candle. Nanaw didn't go to watch play practice because they ran out of time but she went to pick Chase up. They went to the cemetery and to the Telegraph Road library where Chase got Cheez-its out of the vending machine. Chase told Nanaw that Hunter pushed him down again. That's three days in a row. When Nanaw took Chase home, he showed her the delightful Jack Skellington bedroom slippers that St. Nick brought to Chase. They're very cute. Chase also got candy and Mama let him eat a little of that -- part of his big Hershey bar and some chocolate mint holiday M&Ms.
