Nanaw didn't have much time with Chase on Monday because he had play practice till 5 p.m. In the morning, they played together in Chase's room with the stuffed animals he brought from his house and his kitchen supplies. He has some new fast food things to play with. He gave new Jack two chicken legs and French fries to eat -- it was very cute. He also wanted to play with the toys they took to Uncle Mike's party: the marbles, Hot Wheels and Army guys. It was very cold outside so Nanaw did her cold weather thing and parked on the side street instead of the parking lot because it's farther away. After school, play practice was in the gym, and Nanaw sat on the bleachers to watch the boys and girls. For a change, the first graders were better behaved than the second and third graders. Nanaw can't wait till the play Tuesday night to see Chase dressed up like an angel. She's going to try to take a picture of him in his costume with his halo and wings to use to send with her Christmas card. Nanaw found a copy of the play script on the bleachers and read it. So now she knows what the play is about. She hadn't been able to understand a lot of what the actors in the play were saying.
