Once again, Chase brought his Hatchimal twins with him -- he loves them so much and cuddles with them -- it's so cute. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he was loaded down carrying things (but he forgot his water bottle again!) One of the things he was carrying was a present for Nanaw from his class (really from his teacher. It was a wonderful smelling candle (cinnamon bun) in a festive bag, with a sweet card signed by everyone in class. Nanaw was very happy about it but she told Mrs. Neff she didn't have to do that because Nanaw loves working with the boys and girls -- that it's her pleasure. On the way home from school, Chase and Nanaw stopped at Chase's house to let Sam out and give him lunch meat. After school, Chase and Nanaw went to the Columbia Library so Chase could read to Fred the black Labrador rescue dog. It was wonderful as usual. Chase read his favorite book to Fred: Wally Woof Loses His Bone. Nanaw got to keep Chase later than usual because Mama had a hair appointment and Daddy was bowling. Chase and Nanaw had dinner together, and Chase ate lots and lots. He even requested green beans and peas and ate all of them -- amazing. Cutie Bernie the dog that's like the elf on the shelf in that he travels to the North Pole every night to report on Chase to Santa, was missing and couldn't be found. Mama looked in the morning; Chase and Nanaw looked after school. But then in the evening, Mama found Cutie Bernie all tangled up in the comforter on Chase's bed. Yay!
