When Chase came to Nanaw's house on Monday morning, Nanaw had an idea about something that would make the morning easier. She told Chase that they would get Chase dressed first, the eat breakfast, rather than waiting till the last minute. It worked really well so Nanaw is going to do it all the time. Chase had play practice after school, and Nanaw sat in the room and watched. As usual, the first-graders were unmanageable and rowdy. Nanaw thinks teachers are saints for what they do. Chase forgot his homework and his green folder and his water bottle. Mama wasn't happy about him forgetting his homework, but she managed to get what they needed from Mrs. Neff's website and from Brady's mom. It turns out that the first-graders are going to have play practice every day after school, instead of just three days. They're going to be angels in the play and need angel costumes so Mama and Nanaw are trying to find out if the school has costumes or if they need to make one.
