Getting Chase dressed first thing in the morning is working well, and Nanaw intends to keep doing it that way. When they got to school, Mrs. Neff wasn't there; Mrs. Sullivan was. She said Mrs. Neff was having car trouble and there would be a substitute that day. Nanaw went to Waterloo Walmart after she dropped Chase off at school to do her grocery shopping and to buy material for Chase's angel costume for the Christmas play. Before Nanaw went to play practice, she stopped at Chase's house to let Sam out. She gave him lunch meat and took a picture of him to send to Mama. When Nanaw went to see Chase at play practice, he was wearing an ICS sweat shirt instead of his uniform shirt. He said Mrs. Lewis gave it to him to wear because he was so dirty. Later, he told Nanaw that Hunter has pushed him down again -- he did it yesterday also. They found his shirt in front of his locker in a plastic bag. On the way home, they went to Waterloo Walmart to get more material and gold tinsel garland. Chase stayed late with Nanaw because Mama and Daddy were going to a Christmas happy hour with people Mama works with. Nanaw made the angel costume while Chase played and watched the weather channel. It turned out okay -- some of Nanaw's stitching was a bit messy but her heart was in the right place. Chase and Mama like it, and that's all that matters. Nanaw did Chase's homework with him: his spelling words and reading for 10 minutes and then filling out the homework page. Chase had pizza for dinner and took a bath until Mama came to pick him up.
