On Monday morning, Nanaw went over to Chase's house rather than him going to her house because her furnace wasn't working. Mama called the repairman for Nanaw because he's a friend of Mama's. He called back and said he'd be at Nanaw's house at 8:30 so Chase and Nanaw went over to Nanaw's very cold house -- 55 degrees. The repairman found the problem -- a bad igniter -- and replaced it. It didn't take very long for the house to get nice and toasty warm. At 11, Chase and Nanaw went to Movers and Shakers at the Columbia Library. Chase took Tee Tee in with him but Nanaw kept him safe in her pocket. Chase's friend Riley was there with her baby brother Ethan who's now 10 months old. Chase did a great job at following along with the program and pretty much stayed in his seat. When it was time for the popcorn activity, Chase helped Miss Angie bring the pretend popcorn and the parachute. After Movers and Shakers, Chase and Nanaw went to the reading room, and Chase played with Maggie and Ellie, two of the little girls from Movers and Shakers. He insisted that Nanaw check out the Richard Scarry Humperdink book even though he has it at home.
