Mama took the day off to go shopping with Auntie LaLa so she brought Chase over to Nanaw's house about 9 a.m. The excitement of the day was that Aunt Kristen and Uncle Chappie had their baby boy this morning. He came early and only weighs 3 lbs. 10 oz. His name is Jackson, just like Chase's best friend. Chase's adventure for the day was going to Powder Valley. He got to see one of the workers feed the fish; he said it looked like they were eating popcorn. After Chase explored all the displays a couple of times, Chase and Nanaw went for a walk on the 1/3 mile trail. Chase seemed to really enjoy it, running way ahead of Nanaw. However, he seemed disappointed that he couldn't find any acorns. Nanaw should have told him the squirrels ate them all this winter -- she'll remember to do that next time. Chase and Nanaw also played downstairs with the dollhouse and the trains. Chase went into the school room and set up the alphabet banners for the letter matching game and called to Nanaw to come play. It's very interesting how he remembers things so well. He also makes up his own games, and makes up his own rules to regular games.
