Today’s adventure was a visit to Chase’s favorite place: the Museum of Transportation, aka Train House. Chase and Nanaw are becoming well-known there because of their weekly visits. The lady at the main desk had our Creation Station and train tickets ready for them when they walked in, and Nanaw didn’t have to show her membership card. The Creation Station lady was holding the door open for Chase and Nanaw, and said she’d seen them coming from the parking lot and waited for them. Chase played on all the train tables, on the bus, with the puppets, and then for a long while in the kitchen. He did a lot of cooking and a lot of flipping food in the frying pan. Daddy thinks he’s copying Daddy Pig from Peppa Pig who flips pancakes in a frying pan. After the Creation Station, Chase and Nanaw watched the men constructing the Christmas train displays in the lobby and then went up the hill to the little gift shop to buy a Bertie Bus that will live at Nanaw’s house. Next, they rode on the train, and then bought popcorn. The last activity was Chase running up and down the aisle of the caboose. All in all, a very successful visit to the Train House.
