Chase’s adventure for Thursday was his weekly visit to the train house (the Museum of Transportation). The weather has been cold and rainy this week so Thursday was the first day Chase and Nanaw could go to the train house. First thing, Chase visited the circus train and ran around the room after the train. Then he watched the Thomas video for a couple of minutes, then went into the Creation Station to the play on the Thomas tables. He and Nanaw played with the trains for a long while, then Chase went to play in the kitchen. A little girl and her mom were sitting at one of the tables having a tea party, and Chase went to get a chair and joined them at the table – it was so cute and the mom got a kick out of it. Chase poured milk for all of them and brought them food. Nanaw went to sing songs with some of the other children, but Chase stayed in the kitchen playing – it was very cute – Chase needs a kitchen. Chase and Nanaw went to explore the trains, and then they rode the trolley. It was a beautifully restored, 100-year-old trolley. Chase and Nanaw rode it for two trips and got to see the entrance to a blocked-off tunnel that trains used to go through – very exciting. After the train house, Chase and Nanaw went shopping at Walmart. Chase got to ride the horsey and Elmo and went to see the Christmas trees. When they got home, Chase had lunch and then went downstairs to play trains for a little while before his nap. Chase and Daddy had McDonald’s for dinner and Chase got a pair of glasses in his Happy Meal – Mama sent photos of Chase in the glasses to Nanaw.
