Chase spent Sunday with Nanaw while Mama and Daddy went to the Rams football game. Chase went to church with Nanaw and was really cute in the cry room, standing on a chair, looking out the glass window at the congregation and waving to them. When the congregation applauded, so did Chase. He seemed to have fun playing with what he calls the "new toys" at church. After church, Chase and Nanaw had a major adventure: They went to an open house at the Columbia Airport. There were about fifty small airplanes on display – or "baby planes" as Chase and Nanaw called them. Chase seemed to have a wonderful time examining the planes and watching them take off and fly overhead. He surprised Nanaw by knowing where the engines are. She didn’t know he even knew the word engine.
