Chase’s adventure for Wednesday was a visit to the Telegraph Road Library. First, Chase and Nanaw looked for Thomas the Train books and found two books to check out. Then Chase got out the pirate puzzle, and he and Nanaw worked on that for awhile. Then he got out the farm puzzle, and they worked on that one. Chase got out the Connect 4 game, but Nanaw said they had to put the puzzles away before they played with the game. To Nanaw’s surprise, for the first time, Chase helped her put all the puzzle pieces back in the correct boxes – what a great development! Chase also played on the computer and colored a pumpkin. The best part of all was when three little children (two boys and a girl) came to the children’s section of the library, Chase seemed so happy and delighted to see them. He laughed and talked to them (it was unintelligible of course but very cute). They all played with the plastic multi-colored blocks, and Chase kept calling them rainbows. The little girl put a set of headphones on Chase even though he wasn’t sitting at a computer, and he seemed to like having them on. All in all, it was a very successful library trip.
