Chase had two adventures today: going grocery shopping at Walmart and going to Tot Time at the Columbia Library. At Walmart, he rode Elmo and Nanaw bought him another train – this time it was Ferdinand. Nanaw had planned to buy Salty but Walmart didn’t have a Salty. Chase seemed really excited to have Ferdinand and played with him all day. He even took him to Tot Time. At Tot Time Chase behaved a little better than usual. He didn’t run all around the room during song and story time. He stayed close to Nanaw but he did wiggled around a lot. He played with the Tot Time train and with Ferdinand and seemed happy to have trains to play with. The songs and the story of the day were about leaves. The craft of the day was putting glue on a paper cutout of a leaf, then sprinkling crushed leaves on top of it. It was a very messy craft but Chase really seemed to enjoy it. Chase played in the library for a little while after Tot Time. He wanted to go to the playground but Nanaw said they couldn’t because it was raining and that made him cry – so sad.
