Chase and Nanaw’s adventure of the day was a trip to Waterloo Walmart. Chase rode on Dino twice, but Nanaw didn’t take him by the little trolley. Nanaw bought him a Mavis train in the Thomas section, even though Mama and Daddy declared a moratorium on buying trains. Mama told Nanaw not to tell Daddy about Mavis. (However, when Nanaw brought Chase home, Daddy had bought him a Harold the Helicopter, one of Thomas’s friends so Mama told Nanaw she could spill the beans about Mavis. What a nutty family we are!) When Chase and Nanaw got home from Walmart, they went downstairs to play with Mavis and the other trains. Nanaw also let Chase play with the iPad for a few minutes, a wonderful treat for Chase. Nanaw came over for a delicious meat loaf dinner. Mama, Daddy and Nanaw were very sad because the Cardinals lost the baseball game.
