Chase and Nanaw's Monday adventure was a trip to the Science Center. They got there right after it opened and were easily able to get a parking space. So from now on, they'll go early in the morning -- except when Chase is in school and then they won't get there till 3:30 p.m. Nanaw asked Chase if he wanted to go to the Discovery Room, and at first, Chase said no. Then they walked over to the Discovery Room and Chase realized what it was, and he decided he wanted to go. They went downstairs to the lobby and bought tickets for the 11 a.m. session. Chase was very excited and kept asking if it was time to go yet. His first stop in the room was the water table where he wore a plastic apron and played with duckies and boats. Then he played with some loop blocks that you rolled marbles down. Next, he spent a lot of time on both levels of the space capsule. He said he made friends with a little boy in a green shirt. They were sitting together at one of command centers. Chase says the boy taught him how to do blastoff by counting backwards from 10 to one. Chase also went down the slide and then played with the Star Wars ships. The Discovery Room was a great success, and Chase and Nanaw will definitely go back.
