Chase had two major adventures on Sunday. After going to church with Daddy in the morning, he went to his school with Mama, Daddy and Nanaw for kindergarten orientation and a delicious chicken lunch. This is the third time they've gone, and the chicken from Schnuck's just gets better and better. Unfortunately, this was their last year to go to the chicken event. Chase and Brady ran around the gym with some of the other kindergarten boys and had a great time doing that. One of the super things on the buffet table was a shark carved watermelon -- Mama wouldn't let Nanaw take a picture of it but serendipitously, the lady who created it was sitting across the table, and she posted photos on the class of 2026 website. After lunch, they went to Chase's kindergarten room to meet his new teacher, Mrs. Hermann. Chase's new school room is absolutely delightful. There's a loft labeled the Book Nook, many toys and play things, a half wall of "cubbies" where the boys and girls put their belongings, and other things that will be fun for the kids. Chase's teacher is very nice and has a lot of good plans for the class. In the evening, Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw went to Wells Fargo night at the Magic House. Chase had a superb time and went to all of his favorite places, plus others that he hadn't visited for awhile. He saw his kindergarten friend Poppy there; her mother also works at Wells Fargo is Mama's school mentor.
